Wetlands and wilderness

Grassrivers

An expanse of swamp, river and grass — Leonida's wild interior, inspired by the Everglades.

Grassrivers is what the map uses to breathe: airboats, hunting, hidden landing strips and nowhere for a helicopter to follow you. In roleplay, regions like this are where the illegal economy keeps its warehouses and where a body can stay missing. Rockstar's trailers have shown it as both beautiful and hostile.

Grassrivers gives the map its wild interior: swamp, river and open ground, which in practice means distance, low visibility and few witnesses. Regions like this are what make a Leonida map feel larger than its cities, and they allow for places that official authorities do not reach quickly. The name is confirmed; what a player can do there, and what lives there, has not been described.

In roleplay

Wilderness is where criminal roleplay hides its infrastructure: storage, transfers, meetings and the kind of business that cannot happen under street lights. It also enables the opposite kind of play, from hunters and guides to characters who simply want to be far from the city's rules. Servers should decide how much authority reaches the wetlands, because that single decision shapes smuggling, policing and rescue stories at the same time.
