The official GTA 6 trailer
There is one official moving picture of Grand Theft Auto VI: the trailer published by Rockstar Games on the company's own YouTube channel. Everything else circulating online is a re-upload, a reaction or a fan edit. This page covers the original, how to watch it here, and how much weight a trailer deserves when you are planning a roleplay character.
Watching the official trailer

On this site the player is a facade: before you press play, the page loads only a still image, and the YouTube player itself is created after your click. What a trailer can tell you
Read it as a source of tone and world, not as documentation:
- The setting. The trailer is where the state of Leonida and Vice City were first shown in motion — see our map page for what is known about the regions.
- The leads. Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos are the announced protagonists, presented as a criminal pair. That is a starting point, not a script to copy — see setting and story.
- The mood. Neon, sun, crime and money: knowing the intended tone helps you build a character that fits the world instead of fighting it.
What a trailer cannot tell you
Trailers never answer the practical questions, and it is a mistake to read answers into them:
- The date and the platforms. Those come from publisher announcements, not from footage. The confirmed position is November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S — see release date and platforms.
- A PC version. None has been announced, and without one there is no FiveM and no roleplay server.
- The online mode. Multiplayer has not been announced at all, so no trailer can show you how it works.
- Editions and prices. The publisher sets both; compare them on the editions page rather than in a comment thread.
How a roleplayer should use it
Watch once for the world and once for details: what people wear, what cars are on the street, what the radio is doing. That is material a character is built from, and it works on any server. It is not a feature list and not a promise about roleplay — what actually decides when you can roleplay in GTA 6 is the PC version, covered on the platforms page.
